Unlike other role-playing video games of the time, the world of Dungeon Siege does not have levels but is a single, continuous area without loading screens that the player journeys through, fighting hordes of enemies. Initially only seeking to warn the nearby town of the invasion of a race of creatures named the Krug, the farmer and the companions that join him along the way are soon swept up in finding a way to defeat another race called the Seck, resurgent after being trapped for 300 years. Set in the pseudo-medieval kingdom of Ehb, the high fantasy game follows a young farmer and his companions as they journey to defeat an invading force. Then immediately it cut to some dopey-ass cinematic so I couldn't enjoy the aftermath.Dungeon Siege is an action role-playing game developed by Gas Powered Games and published by Microsoft in April 2002, for Microsoft Windows, and the following year by Destineer for Mac OS X. I don't know what this is, and I pretty much have hated games with this kind of dynamic, but I was playing the fire chick character, switched to fire mode, pounded some keys and like 4 guys all died screaming in flames. There's apparently some crap with 'powering up' by attacking enemies.
There's a list of like, weapon, chest, gloves, boots, helm, then when you click on that it opens up and you see what's equipped compared to what could be equipped. It's not like every other standard RPG where you have a picture of your dude and the items are all right there. Stupidly, you can run over money to pick it up (be right on top of it), but other items you have to press the use key again to pick it up? Did they completely forfuckingget DSII and the one key picks everything up inside 20 feet? Only way to see what the keys are is to open up the in-game help and read through each topic to see if it mentions what the key is.
You are stuck with left-click attack (fine) and right-click move (not fine). No way to customize keys and I hate this with a passion.
